A Tarot reading is the most popular method of readings. With so many methods to choose from we should look at why. Other methods include angel cards, medium, psychic readings, rune stones, I Ching, numerology, spiritualism, dream interpretation, palmistry and much more.

One reason the tarot cards are so popular over spiritual readings and others is because clients like to be able to see something, the find it hard to believe that a reader can do a reading without props to help them to get information. When I used to have clients come to my home for readings they would often insist that the cards be used, as though it was impossible to be accurate or know anything without them. Yet a good psychic can pick up a lot without any props at all!

The tarot cards should be used as an aid and are very good to concentrate on. Just as a clairvoyant would concentrate on a bowl of water or sand and gaze into it, relaxed, able to just pick things up. But the fact that the cards are all different with various pictures and words on them helps the reader to pick up even more. There are three types of card reader, the type who goes by the book and has learnt the meaning of each card exactly as the book tells them, knowing the meaning of that card and the meaning of each card according to whether it is upside down etc. or the intuitive clairvoyant reader who simply "knows" things and the one who uses some of each together. The best does both together.
