Also many believe that it is beneficial to try laying on a comfortable cushion or some memory foam. If you cannot be sure that you can relax and will not be disturbed then leave it for now. Now set up your astral temple. Your astral temple is a very special place that YOU yourself build for YOU. It is private for you. This is your home foundation. While performing your astral projection you must lay in a comfortable position, breathing slowly and deeply. You may prefer to lay flat whilst others prefer to sit up.
While you close your eyes, breathing in deeply and naturally, notice every detail of your temple. During the entire process, keep your eyes closed and continue deep breathing. Now open up your 'mental eyes' and look around your temple. If you establish these details, it will be easier later on to return to the temple.
When you are prepared to end your trip, mentally sit back down in the center of your temple and imagine yourself awakening slowly and gradually and becoming more cognizant of your current physical environment.
As soon as you become more comfortable with this method and are prepared to make future journeys, you open yourself up to many possibilities and advantages. Whenever you project, you can imagine yourself increasing your temple, adding stunning landscapes, or communing with nature. Utilize this time to escape from the difficulties of the physical world, lessen the stresses you are feeling and achieve a greater feeling of harmony in your life. Subsequently as you make the mental journey in the future, it will become a more natural means (a trigger if you will) to attain peace in your daily life.
